Do you think we should try to get a Rugby game together over spring break? Or should we do a War Room? I have ideas for one....
Let's put it this way: I'm in the mood for both, and I'm open to suggestions....

We could also do a LOTR TCG fun-tournament for Ye Olde Tyme's sake.....I still enjoy it....but I'm guessing that's going to probably end up being during the summer...

I agree with all the above statements.

I know me and Dan once talked over a LARP/War Room thingie we could do which would be immense, something somewhere between War Room and that game played on college campuses called "assassins". Generally, the idea is that it would be played in downtown Madison, with some sort of terrorist / counter-terrorist theme, and every person has a map of downtown Madison, along with cell-phone numbers of most everyone else (people without cells or with unfavorable plans can be paired with people who have 'em). There will be one game master in some central location who will help orchestrate everything. Everybody has some sort of special ability, such as sniper, heavy-demolitions, medic, etc, and can use them accordingly. When they want to do something, they call up the game master saying what they want to do. In the case of sniping other players, they might say "I see Dan standing on Langdon near Memorial Union. I attempt a head-shot. I am right now in a window of the upper-most floor of the Wisconsin Historical Museum." The game master then would do game-masterish stuff and see if the head-shot was successful. If it was, he would call up Dan and tell him that he just got shot. If it wasn't, and depending on how it worked out, he might call up Dan saying he just got shot at. Of course, we'd have to figure out some rules to prevent it from becoming embarrassing or us getting arrested (it might be a good idea to keep it outside, for example. Also, no running or using non-players as human shields.). Anyway, it would be beyond awesomes in my humble opinion.

I agree, that sounds really cool....but I'd prefer not to do it in March.....perhaps when it's a bit warmer out. Smile

Agreed. We should totally play this some time, and keep on the back burners until it simmers too hotly and needs to be moved to the front burners and then consumed.

I just realized, it took one post for this thread to be no longer about athletics. lol

Y'all should check it out.

Well, it's sort of like a fun version of Special Ops training...so, that's kind of athletics.......and it's in teams, so it's kind of like a sport.... Wink

But yeah, I've been thinking about this too. Definitely something we should do this summer.
